The Brenna Engle Foundation is a New York State Not-for-Profit Corporation founded to :
  • provide the financial support for Brenna’s Home for Underprivileged Children in Lutsk, Ukraine, which provides a safe environment for Ukrainian orphans and abandoned and underprivileged children

  • support organizations which raise awareness of the problems of orphans and abandoned and underprivileged children in Ukraine and elsewhere.

Read the Story about how Brenna’s Home was started, visit Brenna’s Home to see the children, how they are doing, and how our efforts tie into the Tabitha Children’s Program. You can also see other aspects of the ministry in Lutsk in which we participate.

Yulia, age 5, came to to Brenna’s Home in Jauary 2007 from a small village outside of Lutsk. You can follow the transition of this five-year old to Brenna’s Home and she how she is thriving today. See pictures of Halla being baptized on July 1, 2007. and of our visits to Lutsk. Brenna’s Home has served eight different children since its establishment in 2005. There are currently five children in Brenna’s Home.

While our work in Ukraine is through Resurrection Baptist Church in Lutsk, our approach is interdenominational and we obtain support from a wide spectrum of believers, both Protestant and Catholic. We believe showing the love of Christ transcends these denominational boundaries. We welcome your support through prayer and finances. American dollars go far in Ukraine! We also have periodic short-term mission trips and we welcome those who are interested to participate. All donations to The Brenna Engle Foundation are used for direct support for the children. Mission trips are privately funded by participants. Please feel free to contact us with any comments or questions about this ministry.

Community Teaching

Students at the Brendon Montessori School in Poughkeepsie, NY (where Brenna had attended) held a fundraiser for Brenna's Home during February.  Rich and Donna recently visited the school and presented information about their recent trip to Ukraine and Brenna's Home. After the talk, the children all gathered in a friendship circle in the gym and sang two songs, followed with a presentation of their fundraising proceeds. You can read the story that appeared in the March 14, 2008 edition of The Weekly Beat
here.

Benefit Concert and Mission Trip Update
We were truly blessed to have Laura Hawthorne on Saturday night, June 14th,  for a wonderful concert to raise awareness of our upcoming trip to Ukraine.  It was great to have many of you share the event with us.  You can read Laura's impressions of the evening at
www.livininhislove.com/blog/   Laura Hawthorne To learn more about Laura's music ministry.
The picture below of our 2008 Mission Trip Team lacks one person, Sarah Balmer, who is joining us from Pennsylvania, and was unable to attend on Saturday evening. Sarah was present at the scene of our accident in February, 2005, and is someone we have kept in touch with for the last few years. We believe this trip is going to make not only an impact on the children of Ukraine with whom we minister, but also will be a life-changing event for those going with us. It is exciting for us to have a number of teens going who will have the opportunity to interact with children and teens of another culture. Please pray for us as we continue to make plans for the trip. It will be a very busy time!  Our team will do a Summer Camp with the Tabitha Children and the Children from Brenna's Home
